The Couture Jewelry Design Process
Each and every couture jewelry design shown on this site is a one-of-a-kind Artisan Designer piece of jewelry. Using Natural Gemstones, Cultured
Freshwater Pearls, the Finest Swarovski Austrian Crystal, and Vintage Aged Brass
Filigree, each piece is hand wired together in a vintage couture process that takes hours to complete. Each semi-precious bead is woven through the filigree openwork one at a time. Every
crystal is hand set and wired in place by hand. All of the natural materials used have
unique characteristics making each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The Filigreed
stampings are either Vintage and in very limited quanties or made from original
casting molds that date back as far as the Turn-of-the-last-Century. The Brass is aged
in order to give it a deep rich patina with some irregularity reminiscent of pieces one
would find that were centuries old. Some semi-precious beads are Vintage and others
have been collected from sources all over the world. The goal in creating these pieces
is that they will not only be worn and enjoyed today, but perhaps be passed along
down through the family as were many of the pieces that originally inspired the
collection.

Each semi-precious bead is wired onto the Vintage Filigree one at a time, a process that takes hours to complete. No glue is used and the beads are connected by one contiguous piece of wire. Fashioned in this traditional way, each piece is a unique work of art .
