Jason J. Wass, the jewelry designer of the collection, a California native, has been an advid fan and collector of Antique and Vintage Fine and Designer Jewelry for his entire life. His parents owned an Antique Jewelry business and Jason was part of the business for several years himself. While living in San Francisco, he worked within the fashion industry and was engrossed in the importance of keeping an eye on current fashion and trends. Jason has been designing jewelry for over 10 years and now offers his limited art pieces through the J. Wass Originals collection. In addition to design, he is also a fine artist expressing himself through abstract painting. Jason currently lives and works in San Diego, California, the place of his birth.

His jewelry pieces are inspired by the past but keep a modern sense about them through their design and materials used. All pieces are original artist designs, not copies of anything done previously. Jason is inspired by nature, color, and the by the characteristics of the organic materials used in his pieces. He tries to vary both delicate and bold, smooth and rough textures, matte and refractive materials for he believes balance is key in just about everything.
